I am a photographer from Tel Aviv, currently based in Barcelona. Since the beginning, I have adopted not only the point of view of the artist, but the artisan, maintaining a constant connection with the material both in a physical and a conceptual way by working with analog equipment and keeping a hands on process from the development of the film to the final image or silver gelatin print.

 

I choose to work exclusively with film, as it lets me breath, think and connect before every shot I take, this proccess binds the photographer and the subject in a very meaningful way which results in a quiet, genuine moment. After experimenting with all sorts of cameras, films and formats, I have found the tools I connect with the most, the tools that let me express what I aim to effortlessly and efficiently.

 

Working mainly in the documentary realm, while combining portraiture, urban landscapes and the quick snapshot and trying to put forward an atmosphere and an experience rather than a literal description of the events, what results in a reality that is curated and directed by the maker. I am using these skills to try and bring a layer of authenticity and personality to whatever work comes my way.
